Dedicated as a place where artists of different backgrounds make art a significant part of their life’s work.
These artistic tenants are the backbone of this area’s creative culture and in many ways a sort of neighborhood watch. With the handful of professional artists practicing their craft here daily, it has become a beacon for creativity.
Blue Silo Studio’s got its name from the two large silos (formerly sky blue) now gray with canary yellow details. Sitting just fifty yards on the west and across a few train tracks used primarily to haul scrap metal back-and-forth. Our old red-brick building sits on the border of Denver’s Elyria and Swansea neighborhood right in the center of the most industrial and gritty part.
Inside these beautiful studio spaces, you’ll find stories of inspiration.
Blue Silo has officially been parceled as part of the RiNo Arts District and has participated in the RiNo studio tours that formerly happened on an annual basis. These studios are the center of the artists’ creative world. Their dedication to this building and to making art here gives much of the area its character.
